Greetings,
As some of you are aware, we cancelled the night portion of the March
match due to weather. As a result, the night match will occur on April
15th. With Daylight savings time starting on April 2nd, it will be
nearly 8:30pm, before it becomes dark enough to shoot. With this in
mind, I am suggesting the following schedule for the April Match. Please
let me know your opinions, as a portion of this will go out via email
and on the website later this week.
Schedule for April 15th match:
8:00am: Safety officers and Scoring officers arrive and begin setting up
stages.
9:15am: All stages are set up and inspected, ready to shoot.
9:30am: All match staff begin shooting match stages.
11:00am: Range opens for persons wishing to shoot the TSA Classifier.
12:30pm: Lunch for Match staff
1:15pm: Range opens, registration begins.
1:55pm: Pre-match safety briefing
2:00pm: Match begins.
2:00pm: New shooters to safety briefing
2:30pm: All registration ends, new shooters to stages.
5:30pm: Day match concludes
5:45pm: Set up for night stage begins
7:00pm: Supper ( Head Country)
8:00pm: Safety Meeting
8:40pm: Match Begins
11:00pm: Match Concludes
Pistol Day stages:
I would like to have 4 to 6 day stages for this match. Ideally, each
stage should be quick to set up, use a minumum of props and be fun to
shoot! My suggestions for stages are as follows:
1: Triple 7
(Standards
limited vickers, 21 rounds) (21 max)
2: TSA Vickers count stage, 8 to 12 rounds one or two strings (24 max)
3. TSA Vickers Count strage, 12 to 16 rounds ONE string (16 max)
4. TSA Vickers count stage, 16 to 24 rounds ONE string (24 max)
5. TSA Vickers count stage, 4 to 6 rounds, one to three strings (18
max) 6. Stage one of TSA classifier, limited vickers, 18 rounds. (18
max) Maximum round count for day stages would be approximately 121
rounds To run this many stages, we will need a total of 12 people to
function as match staff (2 per stage) . The number of stages we run for
this or any match will be regulated by the number of RSOs and scoring
officers we have. With that being the case, I need to know who will be
running day stages on the 15th.
Pistol night stages:
I suggest three stages, maximum round total in the 50 to 60 rounds
category.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks !
Terry
